HackCorona hackathons are an initiative of the Data Natives and Dataconomy, a community of 78000+ tech professionals, data enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and activists.
After gathering over 1700 hackers and producing 23 digital solutions to help the world fight the COVID-19 outbreak during the 48-hour long virtual hackathon on March 20th-22nd.
Since then, Data Natives and Dataconomy have initiated and curated online hackathons with various partners:
#HackCoronaGreece was supported by the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance and brought together over 2000 enthusiasts with 400 selected participants forming 54 teams
#EasterHack together with Hacking Health Berlin, Charité University Hospital Berlin, the Berlin Institute of Health, Data Natives and Vision Health Pioneers brought together 164 participants and 20 hacking teams
#EUvsVirus pan-European hackathon saw 22,600 participants and over 2100 projects with the marketing and organizational support of Data Natives.
