Online Hackathon by Data Natives


COVID-19 is still spreading exponentially throughout the world. Some of the infected people require hospitalization for respiratory failure for multiple weeks. The hardship falls on elderly people, medical personnel as well as the healthcare system in general.

Identifying the main pain points in the current health crisis situation, Data Natives is activating its 78000+ community of data scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, designers, healthcare professionals and tech professionals to come up with solutions.



Hackathon / March 20-22

HackCorona was created on March 17th in order to find digital solutions for the most pressing problems of the COVID-19 outbreak within a short period of time. In just one day, the initiative gathered over 1700 people. On the weekend of March 20-22, 300 selected data scientists, developers, project managers, designers, healthcare experts and psychologists of 41 nationalities formed 30 teams to collaborate intensively throughout the weekend to come up with the working prototypes for the challenges stated below.

Hackathon / April 2-12

The #HackCorona initiative was launched by the Data Natives team to engage their global community of 78,000 data scientists, developers, healthcare professionals &  entrepreneurs in order to solve and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the second Hackathon organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance. The event brings together people who work in multidisciplinary startup teams with the aim to come up with suggestions and solutions to the current crisis.
